Stance & Developing a Routine
Too many players we work with do not have a routine prior to hitting. Everyone wants to get in the box and start swinging, and while we appreciate the aggressiveness, it is not a good habit to get into.
We work on developing a routine for getting in the box to ensure we get into the proper stance. This routine is different for everyone, and while this is a major part of getting set to hit, there is a more important point of what is the proper stance?
Please share with us what you think a proper stance should look like...

Greg - We want to work on keeping our hands "inside the baseball". (Meaning keeping our bat head between our chest and the baseball until contact) I would start with front toss working middle to middle-out and driving the ball to the right center gap.
When I was with Brian I was grounding out a lot to the left side of the field and he told me I was rolling my hands over. Do you have any drills I could do?
A proper stance is any stance that makes a hitter comfortable but as they load gets them into the hitting position. Every hitter has a different stance but most have very similar attributes. Keep the stance and swing as simple as possible to prevent as little flaws as possible.
