Phil Newman (Hitting & Infield Instructor) has been developing young talent on the east coast for the past nine years. During this time, he as worked as personal trainer for baseball, coached at the youth and collegiate levels, and developed business relationships in baseball.

Since 2006, Phil has been the hitting and infield coach for the nationally ranked Johns Hopkins University baseball team under one of the NCAA's winningest head coaches, Bob Babb. In 2008, Phil was the assistant coach for the Johns Hopkins University World Series team that placed second in the national championship out of 300+ teams. During the 2008 season, the Johns Hopkins baseball team was the number 1 ranked hitting team in NCAA Division III baseball, leading the nation in batting average, slugging percentage, and total bases. He has also assisted in recruiting, alumni relations, budget management, and networking with MLB scouts. In addition, in 2008, the American Baseball Coaches Association published Phil's article on infield play and development.

In addition to being a collegiate coach, Phil coached teams such as the North Carolina Junior Mudcats AAU National Team compete for two national titles. As a player, Philip played his collegiate baseball for the Dickinson Red Devils (2002-2004) (Division III) and the Mount Saint Mary's Mountaineers (2000-2002) (Division I).
